HELLO THERE!

Who is Tash Corbin?

... and why is she a trusted mentor for so many business owners?

The Fancy-Pants Formal Version:

Tash Corbin is a business strategy and marketing specialist, supporting heart-centred entrepreneurs to reach more people, make more money, and change the world for the better.

Since 2013, she has supported women and non-binary people to start and grow their online businesses, with sales and marketing strategies that are consent-based, streamlined, and effective. Her mentorship approach combines rigorous business and marketing strategy, with heart-felt, compassionate mindset support and coaching - because we aren't robots, we're humans.

Tash isn't just passionate about business, she's freaking brilliant at it.

Through her 1:1 mentoring, group programs and events, she's supported thousands of people to attract and convert their dream clients. Whether it's designing sought-after signature offers, crafting deeply resonant messaging, or building a strategy that grows your audience on autopilot, Tash has the experience, market insight and expertise to support business owners from start-up to seven figures.

Tash is driven by a desire to put more wealth and economic power in the hands of marginalised people, because when those who have been systematically excluded make more money, everyone benefits.

The Chatterbox Casual Version:

Hello! I'm excited you're here, and humbled that you're even reading this bit of my website. You want to know about me? Little old meeeee?

Well, first let me tell you: I am obsessed with business.

My first business involved selling bags of 'glitter' that I made by crushing sparkly pyrite rocks as an 8-year-old. It was a labour-intensive, low-reward endeavour... but that first sale (a whole DOLLAR) gave me such a rush that I've been obsessed with business ever since.

Since then, I've been gathering the insights, skills and experience that make me a sought-after and trusted business mentor and speaker who knows how to get results. I have a business degree (from the early 2000s), I'm certified in workplace training and adult learning, and I've worked with organisations in almost every industry, and of all sizes - from solopreneurs to organisations with 10,000 employees.

This means I have that uncanny ability to ask just a few questions, look at a few key numbers, and pinpoint the exact gaps and levers that will generate the fastest results with the least time and effort.

The thing that lights me up most is helping heart-centred, generous people to make more money through business strategy that's aligned, profitable and sustainable. I'm on a mission to help business owners to have more impact, whilst being well-resourced and well-rested.

Business that aligns with your lifestyle goals AND expands your impact?

That's my zone of genius.

Importantly, I don't just talk about things like 'lifestyle', and being in alignment... I am dedicated to living my life in congruence with my message.

I live a rich and adventurous life outside my business that includes:

  • Lots of spaciousness and time with my partner Davey and our two rescue dogs (Munchkin and Betty) - going on long walks, chilling by the pool and beach, and snuggling on the couch.

  • Hosting dinner parties and board game marathons with friends - where I allow my competitive tendencies to run wild.

  • Watching and attending sports events - especially Formula 1 races and netball games (I even sponsor the Sunshine Coast Lightning!)

  • Painting, art journaling, crocheting blankets and making wonky bowls and cups on the pottery wheel - I'm a handmade gift-giver.

I'm not afraid to admit that I regularly find myself laughing so hard, I have to cross my legs and clench. There's something magical about a bunch of friends snorting and wheezing with joy, and I am committed to experiencing that as often as I can... life as a human is a miraculous experience that deserves to be soaked up in full and enjoyed every day.

It wasn't all sunshine and roses

I've had some rough patches along the way...

  • Grief and Loss

My family has the unfortunate pattern of losing members far too young and tragically. My mum passed away from cancer when I was in my mid-twenties, and some of my closest friends and family have been taken by cancer, heart attack, and tragic accidents. I come from a huge, tight-knit family, which means there are more of us to lose, and we feel that loss immensely. It's therefore no surprise I'm of the 'treasure every moment' pursuasion.

  • Late-diagnosed ADHD

As a student and in my career, I was a high-achiever. But whilst academics and business came to me easily, I always felt like 'life' things, even the basics, just eluded me. I never understood why I struggled with seemingly simple things, which turned into a pattern of anxiety, burnout and an extremely vocal inner critic. When I was finally diagnosed with ADHD in my 30s, it wasn't just a relief, it gave me a roadmap to redesign my life and business in a way that worked for me and my neurodivergent brain. Thank goodness.

  • Chronic Illness and Fatigue

From the age of 30, I experienced a range of unexplained chronic illness symptoms including debilitating fatigue, brain fog, hormone imbalance and weight gain. It took years for diagnosis (silicone toxicity and endometriosis), and multiple surgeries, combined with years of medical and natural treatments to recover my immune system, hormone balance and energy. For most of 2021 and all of 2022, I struggled to work more than 5-6 hours per week, and since then I have slowly worked up to my current capacity of 20-25 hours per week.

I also acknowledge that I benefit from privilege in many facets of my life, coming from a white working-class family in a (fairly) progressive country that offers universal health care and education.

I don't share all of this to gain sympathy, or complain about the above. I'm deeply grateful that as a business owner, I could take the time out and work significantly reduced hours without having to ask permission from an employer. Working for myself has allowed me the time, resources and space to navigate all of these experiences with flexibility and a focus on self-care, far beyond what would have been possible if I was in a full-time job.

Instead, I share these insights because I want to be open and honest, and share some of the less-than-fab parts of my life. It's not picture-perfect, but hopefully it's reassuring that it doesn't have to be in order to mindfully and joyfully pursue a business and life that lights me up, and feels fulfilling.

What people are saying

I literally messaged these people and asked for a few sentences, not necessarily a testimonial, but more 'What would you say about me to others?'

(I highly recommend doing this yourself, it was fun to read their replies)

This is what they said...

Chenae Carey

Tash is the person you go to if you need encouragement, ideas, a sounding board and a good laugh.

Tash is a dog lover like no other, supports her communities and takes a great group photo/selfie ... because she’s so frickin’ tall.

ANNND ... some of the best people I’ve met have been through Tash.

Kerry Rowett

Tash has an incredible brain for business. She's so smart and strategic and shares her wisdom generously.

I participated in Tash's Mastermind several years ago as I ventured back into online business post-babies. It was a wonderful, supportive experience and I learned so much.

I successfully launched my Align + Attract podcast using a detailed strategy Tash outlined and brought new levels of strategy and organisation to my online course launches.

I recommend Tash to all my clients, readers and listeners who require solid business foundations to this day. Thanks for your brilliance, Tash!

Denise Duffield-Thomas

I've been lucky to know Tash in two worlds; at university and now in the entrepreneurial space.

Whether in business or life, she’s always been a deeply generous cheerleader, and the kind of person who genuinely wants everyone to thrive.

My Favourite Things

Things I love, things I'm good at, and things that light me up when I get to do them.

Strategy-Simplifying

Mentorship

With over 15 years as a business consultant and mentor, I know how to focus in on the right leverage points and strategies for growth. From start-up to seven figures, my zone of genius is rigorous strategy advice that's fit-for-purpose.

Connection-Creating

Events

The Heart-Centred Business Conference is one of the most inclusive, informative and inspirational events you'll ever attend. It's so fun to bring people together to learn and grow and make new biz besties!

Colourful Crafts

and Creativity

Art journaling, crochet, beading, pottery and painting are my top tier crafty pursuits at the moment. I even have a dedicated crafting office with the most spectacular supply cupboard you've ever seen. It's a treasure trove of potential!

Productivity-Powering Stationery

I love to create stationery, including business planners, productivity templates, tools, and stickers.

I know how to craft something that works. There are people who buy my planner every single year.

Puppy Snuggles

and Powerwalks

Munchkin (left) and Betty (right) are our two rescue dogs, and we are on a mission to walk every path in our extended neighbourhood. Spending time at home, with them snuggled beside me is my idea of heaven.

Brain-Bending Challenges and Puzzles

Whether it's solving a complex business challenge or playing board games, I love to use my brain. I'm hyper-competitive at Trivial Pursuit, Pictionary and Bananagrams, and more chill with Sequence, SkipBo and Hitster.

Being a freedom-loving, fun-chasing kind of person, I have a LOT of interests, hobbies, friendship circles and hyper-fixations:

  • I'm a Formula 1 fan (since the 90s) - my favourite current drivers are Alonso and Piastri

  • I sponsor two Sunshine Coast Lightning netball players - Leesa MiMi and Donnell Wallam

  • My algorithms feed me a mix of dog rescues, political commentary, Taylor Swift Easter Egg theories, ADHD tips, 90s nostalgia, feminist comedians, and stationery reviews... which I feel is a pretty accurate reflection of what gets my attention!

  • When I go to costume parties, I go big - I cut my own bangs and wore blue contacts to be Xena

  • Every year I watch and review at least 20-30 Hallmark-style Christmas movies - I rank them out of 5 trees, and I give you key plot holes, personality flaws and continuity errors to watch out for (because they add to the appeal of these kinds of movies, right?)

  • When it comes to music, I'm a mega-fan of the most eclectic mix of artists - Taylor Swift, John Farnham, Midnight Oil, Billy Ocean, Electric Light Orchestra, Australian Crawl, Chappel Roan, Dresden Dolls, Gotye, Delta Goodrem, Frente, Savage Garden and the Spice Girls

  • Speaking of television, my favourite show is Golden Girls, and I also love Old People's Home for 4-year-olds, Love on the Spectrum, Parks and Recreation, Schitts Creek, Black-ish, The Good Place, Loot, Fisk, Ted Lasso and Utopia (although it can trigger PTSD from my time as a public servant).

  • My partner Davey is a huge movie buff, so I leave the opinions about most movies to him - but I will note that Barbie was faaaaar superior to Oppenheimer, and Tangled is the best Disney movie ever.

  • I love to dance, but I am 6'2" tall and goofy, so I look like a baby giraffe first discovering its limbs

  • I'm a yapper! I'm an extrovert, I tell a great story, I have opinions on most things, I am energised by conversation and I always know someone who knows someone who can help with almost anything!
